Google webmaster tool or google search console is a service provided by google to their webmasters. It allows you to inform google about the content of your webpage.
It helps you to know about the problems of your website and also helps you to identify about any malware problem. This is very helpful tool allows you to communicate
with google.

Importance of verifying your site ownership 

In order to use google webmaster tools firstly you need to join in it. After you join you need to go through the verification process, only when google knows that you are really an owner. Once you have verified your google account and have a google code on your site you can enjoy the facilities provided by google webmaster
tools.

When you login with your webmaster tools account first thing you see is the dashboard. From here you can use all the sections: search quires, site maps, crawl option, links your site. If you click any of these the appropriate section will opens. To use search console the page must be registered, a valid google account is required, and the owner must verify the account. The webpage can verified through a valid analytic account through the domain name of the owner, once verified the tool displays the relevant features. If you register your website you will get notifications from google webmaster tools. Each of the verification method proves your ownership. Once you proved you are the owner google get satisfied. 

Through this platform google will communicates to webmasters and this will helps to increase the quality of our website. And also a chance to increase ranking.

 How to verify ownership of your blog in blogger.com site by using webmaster tool.

•  Create a blog in your blogger.com 
•  Login to Google webmaster tool.com
•  Copy the url of your blog with .com extension (if there it shown in .com.in remove the .in        and enter .com/ncr, ncr is a country specific extension                        for eg;http://yourblogname.blogger.com/ncr ) press enter and copy it.
•  In webmaster tools paste the url in the space provided for it in the home page “add    property”.
•  By adding add property you will reach a page, for blog  click “html tag” verification method and copy the “meta tag” data given in the text box.
•  Go back to blogger dashboard and select dash board and then click theme then select edit html and here before the head tag closed paste the copied meta tag.
 And click save theme button.
•  Go to webmaters tool box and press verify button.
•  Now you will get a green tick saying you have successfully verified your ownership.
